Passion Flower - More than just a beauty

A lot among the Passion Flower family (Passiflora; syn. Disemma Labill.) are very beautiful and elaborately coloured. Its beauty extends beyond that and benefits us physically as well as emotionally.

The Passion flower (Passiflora; syn. Disemma Labill.) is a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants in the family Passifloraceae. They are mostly vines, with some being shrubs, and a few species being herbaceous.

A positive plant, some say that it elevates your mood just by looking at it. The Passion flower is also used for anxiety, depression, relestnesses, nervousness and insomnia. Did I mention has also been used as an aphrodisiac? ;)
Be careful though, as this herb may cause sleepiness to some people.

The Passion Flower has been used as an extract, herb, tea, supplement and beauty products.
